The Deepest Love is God's Love
A rich, original text praising God's great love for His children has been set to a sometimes
gentle and sometimes soaring combination of choir and piano, with accents beautifully added in an
oboe/flute part. It was first performed late in 2011 by a large mixed chorus under Randy's direction,
and is perhaps one of his most soul-penetrating compositions. The phrase "For Christ our King is Lord
of hearts" is heard in both the first and last choruses.
More Holiness Give Me
The text of this oft-sung hymn is stirring in its own right, and Randy's original setting only adds
to its power. Pulsing arpeggios accompany alternating women's and men's voices at the beginning, building to
a wonderful crescendo on the last verse. The dissipation of the energy at the end touches the heart as the various
choral parts intertwine softly to the closing words: "More Savior like thee". The piece is written for full choir
and keyboard accompaniment.
Away In A Manger - TTBB
Hinshaw Music has added Randy's men's arrangement to their existing SATB and women's versions
of the Christmas carol. It can be sung as a four-part, three-part, or two-part men's chorus
with piano accompaniment. The TTBB arrangement was published by Hinshaw in 2007.
